The All India common written exam(CWE) to apply for PO positions is being conducted twice every year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).Many new entrants have expressed doubts over the pattern & sections present in question paper.To help those understand better, we are here to explain the blueprint & necessary books that one can purchase to support preparations.
This new system that came into effect from 2011 has seen applicants appear for two exams till now,
Once every 6 months, IBPS plans to notify for these examinations.This enables low scorers to improve their scores & be eligible to apply for upcoming bank jobs.
Question paper pattern
The written test is made up of two papers:
1) Objective test & 2) Descriptive test
First things first – here is the breakup of Objective Test

In addition to objective questions, descriptive test to test your english usage would be conducted for 25 marks (see descriptive test question pattern)
Evaluations:
For each wrong answer in objective test, there is negative mark of 0.25.There is no negative markings incase a question is left unanswered.

There is no need to worry while preparing for the common bank exam, as the pattern is similar to previous bank tests.Moreover there are various books, guides & worksheets available for practice.
