This could be the biggest news for all those who appeared for the IBPS common written examinations. The institute released the complete list of scores along with the no. of candidates within a specific range. The good thing is the segregation of it as per state & category.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) had conducted the 1st CWE for clerk vacancies in 19 public sector banks during November/ December 2011.The results were declared in the month of March 2012 which saw over 5.3 lakh candidates successfully pass out.
Clerical Scores
Since clerk jobs are to be filled statewise (see cannot apply for any state), the scores in each state would matter most unlike PO recruitments which are conducted pan-India.
IBPS came under sever criticism for not revealing those details but after a month of releasing the results, they have now published the same.
As per the official doc, candidates can now see how many people have qualified with them in their state.
Uttar Pradesh leads the table
Not a surprise for the largest Indian state, U.P to lead the chart with 79257 candidates eligible for clerk jobs.
Right after the results, based on a poll here at BankExamsIndia.com – we had deduced about the possibility of high competition among 130-160 TWS scorers which seems to be correct.
Pushing aside popular belief, not many states have candidates above 200 & hence the interview cutoffs could could start around 170
PO/ MT Score Range
A long pending request from PO exam qualified applicants for the scoring details has now been fulfilled.Of 1.1 lakh who cleared the common PO/MT exam conducted in Sep 2011,
39753 – Gen, 47247- OBC, 4813 – ST & 20180 candidates belong to SC category.
Yes, IBPS has also put the no. of candidates within specific scoring range according to each category & this would enable everyone to analyze their chances.
Access to the scoring patterns was at the top among wishlist of many & with its availability now, more clarity for the upcoming bank jobs through IBPS CWE platform can be expected.
