Corporation bank has released their plans for clerk recruitment.Started in 1906, the bank was nationalised in 1980 and is now one of the oldest & leading public sector banks in India.Corporation bank is present across many Indian states with 6164 service outlets & 13000+ employees.
These vacancies are to be filled with candidates qualified in the IBPS common clerical exam.

Who are eligible:
The eligibility conditions fixed by corporation bank for this clerical recruitment are,
- Age between 18 – 28yrs, as on Aug 1, 2011
- Must be a graduate (any degree) with 40% marks (35% for sc/st)
- Should be able to read/ write/ speak in official language of the state you are applying.
- Knowledge in computer operations is needed
It is quite surprising to see this bank asking graduates only to apply.
Graduation only?
Few weeks back IBPS & banks met to postpone the implementation of change in eligibility – for the next CWE.
Bank of Baroda revised its criteria accordingly & re-opened the application process to facilitate +2 passed candidates also to submit their applications.It has to be seen whether corp. bank modifies or persists with the same.
Selection:
The bank will shortlist candidates from the applications received.The TWS score given above is only for eligibility & it may increase depending on the no. of vacancies & applicants.Also there is no mention of the ratio to be used for shortlisting.
Interview process carries 100 marks & to qualify, you must score atleast 40 marks (35 for sc/st/obc).Questions in local language could also be asked to check your proficiency.
How to apply?
Rs.20 (sc/st) & Rs.100 (others) must be paid in cash at any branch of corporation bank OR in any bank using NEFT challan,Make sure to pay fees only between June 12 to 26 only.
