V Narayanasamy, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said this recently at an event in Chennai organized by the southern regional office of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), reports the indianexpress

Although the minister of PMO has not divulged any exact number of vacancies in each department/office specifically, he says

1 lakh jobs through SSC
Staff Selection Commission attached to department of personnel is responsible for recruitment of Group B & C posts in ministries/depts. of Govt.of India & in subordinate offices.
The minister in his speech also touched upon the plan of SSC to complete recruitment for 1 lakh vacancies.
Recently SSC had issued announcement on behalf of FCI for recruitment of 6545 grade III assistants.
More bank jobs
What can one expect in the PSB recruitment space? Shri.Ramachandran of a private coaching centre based in chennai says,
“Among 19 public sector banks around 19,000 officer jobs were created during the last 6 months & an equal amount of clerk vacancies have been announced.
