Vacancies are divided across all the 21 RRBs.It means, all selected candidates will get posted within their state or neighbouring state only because of zonal division limitations.

Who are Eligible?
Inorder to apply for these railway jobs, you have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions
- Age between 18 – 32 years (relaxation of 3yrs for OBC & 5yrs for SC/ST) as on 1.1.2016
- Degree from a recognised university
Candidate can apply for any one RRB only.But you can apply for all posts through a single application itself & mention the order of preference.

Selection Process –No Interviews
All registered applicants have to appear for a common Computer Based Test (CBT) that shall be conducted simulatneouly for all RRB`s during March – May 2016.

There are no interviews for these NTPC posts in Indian railways.Instead, the below procedures are followed apart from the computer exam.
- Document verification after online test – Commercial Apprentice,Traffic Apprentice Reservation Clerk, Goods Guard
- Typing Skill Test followed by Doc verification – Senior Time Keeper, Senior clerk & Junior accounts assistant.
- Aptitude test & Doc verification – Assistant Station Master & Traffic Assistant
You have to complete the online exam of 100 questions in 90 minutes in the following sections: General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning.

Registration & Fees
All those who belong to General & OBC categories must pay Rs.100 as exam fee through Debit card OR Net Banking.It can also be paid at any SBI branch OR computerised post office.
No Fees for Minorities & Women: Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ ExSm/ PWD/ Women/ Minorities/ Transgender & Economically Backward Classes having annual family income less than Rs.50,000/- are exempted from paying fees.
Minorities – Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis)
