BSNL Recruitment: Am I Eligible?
For every recruitment, deciding whether to apply for it or not is a confusion for many candidates.It is no different for BSNL as there are many criteria that an applicant must fulfil for it be accepted.

Age & Education:
Q: What is the age requirement to apply for these jobs?
A: Candidates between 18 – 30 years as on August 10, 2016 are eligible.
As per government rules, the maximum age is relaxed for certain categories such as SC/ST: 5 yrs; OBC: 3 yrs; PWD: 10 years
Which degree holders are allowed to register?
Individuals who have completed any of the following qualifications on 10 August, 2016 are only eligible to apply.
- Diploma (3 yrs) OR BE/ BTech in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Radio, Computers, Instrumentaion, Information technology OR
- B.Sc / M.Sc (Electronics) OR
- B.Sc (computer science)
Individuals with any other degree are not eligible to participate in BSNL JE recruitment.
Can final year/ semester student apply?
If you are completing your course & can get the results/ marksheets/ degree on or before Aug 10, 2016 – then you are eligible to submit your registrations.
All others who will complete their graduation after August 10th are ineligible.
Job Location & Bond:
Q: Can I apply for any state/ circle?
Candidates can choose to apply for any telecom circle mentioned in the notification.
Can I choose my place of posting?
Although you can choose the circle, job location will be decided by BSNL only.
Initially, candidates shall be posted in the rural areas within the circle for a minimum of 5 years after which they may transferred based on seniority & other service conditions.
Is there any service bond in BSNL?
All selected candidates should execute a bond to serve the company for a period of 2 years.
Should I attend any training? What if I dont get selected?
There is a pre-appointment training that all new joinees must undergo.Those who dont qualify in their 1st attempt shall be given one more chance to complete it.
Even if they are not able to clear it in the 2nd attempt, his/ her selection will be cancelled.
Application & Registration Doubts
Q: Is aadhar card compulsory to fill the application form?
A: Yes, applicants should enter their aadhar card number in the registration form.In the absence of aadhar number, BSNL has asked to fill EID (electronic identification) number.
Can I choose to apply for any circle? Do I need to know the local language?
Candidates are free to apply for vacancies against any telecom circle.It is not required to posses language proficiency.So you may apply for any state.
What is the application fee?
Rs.1000 for general/ OBC & Rs.500 SC/ST applicants that should be paid only through mode.
Should I upload any documents along with the application form?
Candidates must scan and upload their marksheets & age proof certificate (matriculation marksheet) while registering online.
What is the last date to apply?
August 10, 2016 is the last date to submit your online applications.
On successful registration, a confirmation email/sms may be sent BUT make sure to note your registration number & password while its displayed on screen itself.
