This year, SSC CGL 2017 notification was announced in the month of May & the online registration of applications will be open till June 16, 5 PM only.
You can expect huge number of candidates rushing to submit the forms on the last day as a total of 3800 vacancies have been announced in the first stage by central govt.
We suggest you to follow these 5 rules to avoid any problems during registration.
Website for Registration
Yes, SSC has provided a dedicate and active website to submit CGL application forms– ssconline.nic.in.Because the online application link will be active only upto 5 PM today, make sure to submit the details before the end time.

Your application will be accepted only if you complete Part I, II & pay the fee amount. Hence make sure to keep all the certificates in hand before starting to apply.
Confirm your Eligibility for Posts
Just because you are applying on the last date, do not forget to check the eligibility conditions.
– Age limit of 18 – 32 years as on August 1, 2017 is presribed for most posts.See here for the list of posts and ages
– Graduation in any degree is the educational qualification for majority of CGL posts but Statistical Investigator & Compiler positions require specialized degree.
Even if candidates apply for a non-eligible post, they can appear for the exam but would be rejected at the document verification.Nobody wants to go through that pain.So make sure you are read the notification & confirm the right posts.
Choose Post Preferences Carefully
Qualifers of SSC CGL 2017 exam would be posted to any of the 20+ jobs.Due to this large number, candidates ae provided with a facility to fill their preferences for each post.

There is no possibility to modify your preferences later & also cannot request to change the post once its allotted to you.Hence make your choice wisely.
Pay Fees Correctly
The application fee of Rs.100 can be paid online through SBI netbanking or any bank`s debit or credit card.Registrants can also generate a challan online & pay the amount at any branch of SBI.
Who need not pay fees: All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee
Hence we advise candidates to use either their ATM card or credit card to make payment & complete their registrations immediately.
Take Note of your Login Details
‘I have lost my registration number.What to do?’ is one question that candidates ask frequently after applying for an exam.Do not make the same mistake again for SSC CGL exam as well.
The registration number & password would be displayed on screen while registering itself.Note it down on a piece of paper or take a screenshot & save it to your desktop.It is necessary to download your exam call letter
Dont expect to receive any confirmation email or sms to be sent with your login details.
