Though vacancies were not disclosed earlier, it is being followed now after a common recruitment strategy involving written exams & personal interviews came into force last last year as per Govt. of India orders.
Numerous aspirants attended the clerical common exam in December 2012 that was preceded by common interviews.The IBPS clerk results (combined) were uploaded few days ago enabling registrants to know their their status for allotments.
The number of vacant positions in Indian banks & no. of people applying for it has been increasing every year.While 27000 clerk posts only were created last year, 2013 is to see a growth.
A total of 39,600 clerical cadre positions are available across various branches of 19 government owned banks.
It means those with high final scores have better chance of getting allotted.Whatever be the case only the top 39600 candidates shall become clerk in bank as part of their respective recruitment projects 2013 – 14
The preference registration is completely online and links are to remain active from April 15 to 22.If you are successfully allotted, IBPS will send SMS/email intimating the same.

Although banks won’t propose any new eligibility conditions hereafter, selected candidates must submit the necessary document/certificates during verification.If you fail to produce them or was found ineligible, banks could terminate your allotment.
Similarly those failing to submit their order of preference or do not accept the allotment will not be provided with another chance.Their selection will also be forfeited.
