As part of IBPS RRB 2016 notification, there are 16500 vacancies across 56 regional rural banks in India for Office assistant, Officer – scale I, II & III cadre positions.

Eligibility & Age Limit: All the qualifications & eligibility criteria should be as on September 30, 2016 (max. age +3 yrs for OBC, +5 yrs for SC/ST)
Office Assistant
- Age between 18 – 28 years
- Degree in any discipline
- Proficiency in local language of the state
Officer (scale I)
- Age above 18 – 30 years
- Graduation in any degree
- Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology,Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy
- Proficiency in local language of the state
Officer (scale II): Agelimit for all the below scale II positions must be 21 – 32 yrs
General Banking Officer: Degree in any discipline with min. 50% & 2 years experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.
IT Officer: Degree in Electronics /Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks & 1 yr of experience
Chartered Accountant: Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India along with 1 yr experience.
Law Officer: Degree from a recognised University in Law with 50% marks aggregate. The applicant should have worked as law officer in banks for atleast 2 yrs.
Treasury Manager: Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India OR MBA in Finance & 1 yr experience.
Marketing Officer: MBA in marketing along with experience of 1 year.
Agricultural Officer:Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/
Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture 50% marks aggregate.Two years of experience required.
Officer (scale III)
- Age to be within 21 – 40 yrs
- Graduation in any degree with 50% marks in aggregate.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an officer in bank is required.
Official Language Proficiency: It is compulsory for all candidates to read, write & speak the local/ official language of the state that they are applying.Checkout the RRB vacancy & languages list to know the regional dialects of each state.
- You must have studied the state`s language in std.VIII or above.
- Incase of not possesing the proficiency, he/ she will be given a time of 6 months from the date of joining to acquire the proficiency.
This condition is only applicable for Officer (scale I) & Office assistant.
Choose Bank Preference: After choosing the state you wish to apply, a list of RRBs in that particular state is listed.
If there are more than 1 bank, you must select the preference.So choose a state where you want to get posted & then select the banks that are operational in that region.
