Indian or International Banks?

They have strong presence across states & advertise vacancies on their websites regularly.Candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions can directly send their resumes online.
Apart from these national players, there are few international banks too such as Standard Chartered, American Express, Bank of America, Royal bank of Scotland, Citibank etc.,
Foreign banks are not present in all Indian states & are limited only to metropolitan cities.
Also they expect applicants with prior banking experience or specialized degrees to join their team.

There are 3 things you must know, before moving to apply for recruitments in the new generation private banks.
1.Understand the Job profile: Rather than applying for all posts, look at the job responsibilities of the opening, to check if it suits you.
There is no point in applying for a marketing post when you hate to travel. The same can be said for a person who is poor in communication opting for a customer service/relations vacancy.
2.Service Bond: Be clear about the service bond conditions specified by the bank.
For freshers there may a bond period of 1 or 2 year before the end of which you cannot quit or resign.
ICICI bank, Kotak mahindra bank & Axis bank have special recruitment programmes wherein fresh graduates are selected, trained for 1 year & then appointed as managers.
3.Salary structure: Everyone of you will pay attention to the salary offered by the private bank, but get clear details about the package during the interview stage itself.
Enquire about the pay structure i.e. basic pay excluding incentives, allowances etc., as they are normally clubbed with the monthly income.
Also clarify about the pay/stipend during training period & the cost to repay, incase of quitting service before the end of bond period.
