AAI has notified a total of 105 Junior Assistant openings under its 2017 recruitment (ADVT.No.02 /2017/ER-Rectt.(Jr.Asstt.(FS)
The category-wise breakup of vacancies are:
- Unreserved – 56
- SC – 13
- ST – 17
- OBC (NCL) – 19
The scale of pay is Rs.12,500 – 28,500 which means the monthly salary would be approx Rs.25,000 – 32,000

Online registration from June 19 – July 19, 2017
Last date to deposit fees at State Bank of India: July 21
Written examination dates would be announced later.
Eligibility Conditions
It is necessary for applicants to satisfy the following prescribed conditions inorder to apply for AAI recruitment 2017.
Age limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on 30.06.2017 (upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC candidates)
Educational qualification: Applicant must have passed std 10 exam + 3 years diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Fire with minimum 50 % marks (OR ) b) should have passed std 12 with minimum 50% marks.
State of residence: Candidates who are domicile of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar and Sikkim States are eligible to apply.
All candidates should posses a valid heavy vehicle driving license or valid medium vehicle.

AAI Selection Process
The candidates will have to appear for computer based/online examination, physical measurement, driving test and physical endurance test.
The appointment to the post of Junior Assistant (FS) is subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions and successful passing of Basic Training Course for a period of 4 months from AAI Training Institutes.
Fee Payment & Registrations
The application fee of Rs.400 should be paid only by male candidates of general & OBC category only.All Women & SC/ST applicants are not required to pay the fees.

– Step 1 of the application form should be filled first and follow it by completeing the Step II registration process.
After submitting the online application, click on ‘Make online payment’ that will be activated after 24hrs of submission of applications.
