Allahabad Bank has issued official notification for recruitment of clerks as part of its 2012-13 hiring plans.Founded in 1865 & nationalised in the year 1969, the bank is today one of the leading public sector banks in India.With branches across the nation, the head office of Allahabad bank is located in Kolkata, West Bengal.
It has been quite some time since public sector banks called for clerical vacancies with only interview calls being released for the past few weeks.
With minimum scores being fixed how many qualifiers would be finally able to apply for this clerical recruitment has to be seen.

Am I Eligible?
To address such questions, here are the eligibility conditions set by Allahabad bank which you must fulfill as on 1.08.2011
- Age limit : 18 – 28 yrs (relaxation applies)
- Should have either passed in degree OR have 60% (55% for sc/st/pwd) in HSC
- You can apply for vacancies in a state that houses your IBPS CWE centre.
- Must be able to read/ write & speak local language of the state applying for.
- Should have studied computer/ IT in school/ college OR posses certificate in computer operations.
In addition to state-wise & category wise TWS, applicants must also have score of
24 (gen) & 21 (sc/st/obc/pwd) in all sections of common clerk exam
Selection procedure:
The process of shortlisting candidates for interviews is not new & the bank follows the same procedure.
Based on the number of vacancies, cutoffs shall be fixed & only a limited no.of applicants from each state/category shall be invited for personal interviewing (PI).
The finalists would be identified through merit lists prepared for each state on the basis of your total scores (CWE+PI).
Interviews are conducted for 35 marks & participants must secure atleast 14 marks for final list consideration (12 for SC/ST/OBC)
Fees & Applications:
First, individuals interested to apply for this recruitment must pay Rs.100 (Gen/OBC) or Rs.20 (SC/ST) as fee at any branch of Allahabad bank into the designated account only between 08.08.2012 to 23.08.2012.

- Fill the online application with required details & submit
After successful submission, preserve the application print & fee payment receipt – both in original for producing at the time of interview stages.
