Bank Clerk Common Exam – Will it be Easy or Tough?

The date of written examination set by IBPS for clerical posts selection could be November 27, 2011.But many training institutes had started classes from October, right after the closure of online application process. Some centres have even announced crash courses that goes on for 20 days mainly targeting late entries.

We receive many questions daily from our readers asking about eligibility, exam preparation tips, books to refer etc.,Especially after we published about the

PO exam performance, there was one specific question that was constantly asked by many,

Would the IBPS common written exam for clerks be easy or difficult?

BankExamsIndia.com got in touch with few bank exams trainers, experts & their students to know their views on this.

The responses were mixed with equal numbers on both sides.Yet, all of them agreed on one point.Read on to find out about it.

Prabhat dutta (Trainer, Baroda): Looking at the previous bank recruitments & exams conducted for them,I expect the common test for clerk postings to be easy.At the same time we are training our students on all basic concepts, shortcuts & time management so they are able to attend maximum questions within 150 mins.

Kumaresan (Trainer, Madurai): Hereafter, there wont be any other tests for bank jobs apart from this examination. So inorder to filter best candidates from the huge competition, questions in numerical ability, english & reasoning sections may be little tough or confusing.Allotting time for each section & sticking to it throughout could be a problem for first timers.

Rahini sachdev (Student, Kolkatta): There are no reference materials available specifically for common written exams. My coaching centre has advised to practice using previous years solved papers but I feel that the examination might contain something tricky, just like the CAT exam.Hence I am planning to concentrate more on banking awareness & reasoning.

Naveen (Student, Chennai): Since I have already given the common PO exam, I know the clerk exam pattern & am also confident of answering any type of question easy or tough. But i am more concerned about the time limit as I was not able to answer all the questions previously.Since this is the 1st batch & candidates with 10/12th qualifications have also applied, it would be an easy paper.

Some of the key points raised by these people are marked in red so you can work accordingly to prevent them.
