With the introduction of IBPS common written exams, individual exams conducted by banks have become a thing of the past.Bank of Baroda & Manipal university while announcing the admissions for Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB) 2015 batch have decided on an eligibility test in April month & we take you through its structure.
As part of this tie-up, selected candidate will be enrolled for 1 year PG diploma (banking & finance) course & on successful completion of training they shall be inducted into Bank of Baroda as probationary officer (scale I).
For the current year 2016-16, BMSB is to induct candidates in batches (could be 4), each consisting of 300 students.
Selection process
The procedure to gain entry into Baroda manipal school of banking goes through these 3 stages,
- Online Test
- Group discussion
- Personal Interview
Though students are to be admitted in batches they will be selected in advance through this single exam.The next recruitment exercise will happen only in the year 2016.
Baroda Manipal Test Pattern
Unlike regular banking exams involving OMR sheets this is not a written examination but an online test that is scheduled on April 18, 2015.It consists of the following papers.
Candidates will have to attend around 200 objective questions within 2 hours.
Cutoff Marks
A total of 200 marks is allotted for the online objective test.For each wrong answer, 0.25 would be reduced as negative mark.
| You need to secure a minimum cutoff score in each subject & also on the total score to qualify & move to the next stage of selection.These two cutoffs shall be fixed by the bank based on the performance of all the candidates. |
BOB would then call those in the merit list for group discussion & personal interviews in the ratio of 1:4

Exam Difficulty Level:
Although BOB hasn’t mentioned anything about the level of questions, the pattern looks similar to that of IBPS PO exams.So expect moderate – difficult questions as there are only limited seats available per batch.
We contacted few candidates who appeared for last year`s test.
Though they were not able to recollect the question paper, most agreed that reasoning & quantitative aptitude sections played the tricky part.
Since the period to prepare for baroda manipal`s test is pretty long we suggest all applicants to devote extra time for those two papers during preparations.
Announcement of Results:
The first batch of Baroda Manipal School of Banking`s 2015 PO training is expected to start at their Bangalore campus after July 2015.
So in all probability one can look forward for the test results by April – May end that`ll pave way for GD & interviews in the month of June.
