The final results are out for Canara Bank`s PO recruitment project 2012.For the past few days, we are seeing some key developments in the banking recruitment space with public banks completing their hiring process for PO positions.With clerical & specialist officers requirements in pipeline, HRs may be trying to fastrack the entire process.
Canara Bank had advertised to appoint 2000 Probationary officers & applications were sought from graduates with 60% marks.
Candidates were shortlisted based on their TWS scores & called for Interview held from April 16th onwards.
Who are Appointed?
Following the completion of GD & Interview, Canara bank has finalized the provisional list by selecting 1984 candidates found eligible for appointment as POs.See the below graphic for further understanding,
The total marks for final list was 100 marks & scores would given weightage in order: 50% CWE TWS + 20% GD + 30% Interview.

Scoring Methods:
While detailed info of scores secured by each applicant would be made available on bank`s website in the coming days, some key statistics have been made public.
Probation
Appointees selected for PO position have to deposit Rs.25,000 as security deposit agreeing to serve the bank for minimum 2 years.This amount would be forfeited incase you decide to quit before the end of 2 yrs.
Since the probationary period is also 24 months, candidates have to stay with Canara bank till the end of probation to avoid forfeiture of deposit.
