Central warehousing corporation recruitment was notified to fill 644 vacancies across 8 different positions – Management Trainee (General/ Technical), Assistant Engineer (Civil), Accountant, Superintendent, Junior Superintendent, Junior Technical Assistant & Stenographer.

CWC Exam 2016 Dates
Since there are 8 positions to fill, the corporation seems to have decided to hold written exams on different dates for each post.
For Junior Technical Assistant & Stenographer, the online test will be held on November 18, 2016.
Candidates who had applied for any of the above 2 jobs must download the call letter from their official website here by logging in with your registration number & password/ DOB.
When is the exam for other posts? Most probably, the examinations for remaining positions is expected to be conducted in the coming weeks.Once the dates are officially released, we shall inform them on this website as well.
CWC 2016 Selection Process
The selection procedure for jobs in central warehousing corporation recruitment 2016 involves an Online test, based on which candidates are shortlisted for document verification or Interview/ Skill test.
Since the process differs for each, we have created the below table that should help you understand the steps involved.
Junior Technical Assistant Exam Pattern:
The online test is for 150 marks & consists of 5 sections, that needs to be answered in 90 minutes.
Professional Knowledge Syllabus: The level of questions is expected to be similar to SSC exams.So you may prepare for other sections based on SSC syllabus.
For professional knowledge paper in junior technical assistant exam, CWC has prescribed a list of topics you need to cover:
i. Basic Agriculture (15 Questions) – Crop Production, Animal Husbandry, Plant Protection, Agriculture Extension, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics
ii. Botany (10 qs) – Cell Biology: Tissue, Organ & Organ System, Genetics, Plant Classification, Diversity, Ecology, Life Process: Photosynthesis, Respiration, Circulation, Movement etc.
iii. Zoology (10 qs) – Animal Cell & Tissue, Organ System, Heredity & Variation, Animal Classification, Micro Organisms, Insects & Rodents
iv. Chemistry & Physics (15 qs) – Chemical bonding, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry in daily life, Motion, Force & Energy, Electricity , Magnetism, Light & Sound, Thermodynamics, Measurement.
Cutoff Scores: While each correct answer will fetch you 1 mark, negative mark of 0.25 is reduced for every wrong answer.
Cutoffs are applied only on the total scores.There is no sectional cutoffs.
The minimum marks to score in junior technical assistant test (out of 150) is:
- General: 40% (60 out of 150)
- OBC: 35% (52.5 marks)
- SC/ST/PWD/ExSm: 30% (45 marks)
Note:These minimum marks are not final cutoffs.They would be normalized, converted to equated scores & then cutoffs for each category are released.
Final Selection: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification in the ratio of 1:2, after which final appointment is made.
CWC Stenographer Exam Pattern:
The online written exam for stenographer post will have 4 papers for a total of 150 marks & 90 minutes duration.
The questions would be of matriculation level only, as the minimum eligibility for steno position is pass in matric school.
Cutoff Scores: For each wrong answer, negative mark of 0.25 is reduced & 1 mark is awarded for correct answer.
Cutoffs are applied only on the total scores.There is no sectional cutoffs.
The minimum marks to score in stenographer online test (out of 150) is:
- General: 40% (60 out of 150)
- OBC: 35% (52.5 marks)
- SC/ST/PWD/ExSm: 30% (45 marks)
Note:These minimum marks are not final cutoffs.They would be normalized, converted to equated scores & then cutoffs for each category are released.
Final Selection: Based on the performance in online test, candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 for skill test.
In the skill test (typing), you are required to have a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in english shorthand and 40 words per minute in english typing.
Those who qualify in the skill test & come sufficiently high in merit will proceed to document verification followed by final appointment.
