Union Health Minister dedicates COBAS 6800 testing machine to the nation

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare launched the COBAS 6800 testing machine visited the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

  • COBAS 6800, a fully automated, high end machine for performing real time PCR testing COVID-19 in the service of nation.
  • It will provide quality, high-volume testing with a high throughput of test around 1200 samples in 24 hours. It will largely increase the testing capacity with reduction in pendency.

This is the first such testing machine procured by the Government for testing of #COVID19 cases and is installed at the National Centre for Disease Control

NIT Kurukshetra Implements Enterprises Resource Planning (ERP), SAMARTH

National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, has implemented SAMARTH, an ERP to automate the processes of the Institute.

  • SAMARTH, is an Open Standard Open Source Architecture, Secure, Scalable and Evolutionary Process Automation Engine for Universities and Higher Educational Institutions.
  • This initiative will enhance the productivity through better information management in the institute by seamless access to information, and its utilization for various purposes.

HRD has developed an e-Governance platform, SAMARTH(Enterprises Resource Planning) ERP, under National Mission of Education in Information and Communication Technology Scheme (NMEICT).

FM Nirmala Sitharaman announced 2nd set of relief measures under Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan

A total of 9 relief measures were released : 3 related to Migrant workers ,1 related to the Shishu Loan within MUDRA, 1 related to Street vendors, 1 on Housing ,1 on Employment for Tribals ,2 on Small farmers

  • Free food grains supply to migrants for 2 months
  • Technology system to be used enabling Migrants to access PDS (Ration) from any Fair Price Shops in India by March,2021- One Nation one Ration Card
  • Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHC) for Migrant Workers / Urban Poor
  • Interest subvention of 2 percent for 12 months on MUDRA-Shishu loans—that are below Rs 50,000.
  • Special loans of upto Rs.10,000 for street vendors  to provide working capital to restart business.
  • Rs.70,000 crore boost to housing sector and middle income group through extension of  Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for MIG under PMAY(Urban)
  • Government will use Compensatory Afforestation Management & Planning Authority (CAMPA) funds of Rs.6,000 crore to push employment.
  • Rs.30,000 crore Additional Emergency Working Capital for farmers through NABARD
  • Rs.2 lakh crore Concessional credit boost to 2.5 crore farmers through KisanCredit Cards
