Your Final Tips for IBPS PO Mains

if you spend a lot of time in one section, you will not be able to attend all the questions in bank exams.Take a look at the IBPS PO mains pattern:

As you can see from the image above, all the 5 sections carry equal weightage of 1 mark for each correct answer. Also you have just 2 hour & 20 minutes to answer 200 questions.

There are cutoff scores on each paper & also on your total marks, which will be revealed by IBPS only after the results are announced.

Here are some last minute tips for you to help crack IBPS PO mains 2016:

  • Negative mark of 0.25 will be reduced for each wrong answer. So think twice before answering an unknown question. No mark will be reduced if you don’t answer it.
  • Focus on getting as many answers correct instead of attending all questions.
  • Avoid wasting time in thinking. If you have a doubt in answers, move on to the next question.

Sectional Time Limit: Since each section already has a pre-specified time, it is not

necessary for candidates to allot time.

The section you need to answer first, automatically opens up on the screen & once you the time is completed, it move to the next section.

There is no facility to choose the section you want to answer so be careful in managing the time.Don’t spend more than 1.5 – 2 minutes to answer any question.

Attend the exam confidently. Best wishes from BankExamsIndia.com team !!

  • Its very starange that in CWE why they have given 25 marks for descriptive test..?? As in prior bank exams, the candidates who qualify in objective test, their descriptive test were considered to check english language proficiency. Descriptive test is subjective matter, for essay one can give 9 marks and other can give 2 morks out of 10. As its subjective matter, marks can be given as per paper checker's choice.. So dudes favourism is 100% possible. As they can give 24 out of 25 to their known person, and no one can disagree with my opinion that favourism is possible here..

So, its big risk and danger for all of us, who are doing preperation and trying to take job on our own ability..

But tomorrow is paper, and nothing is in our hand. We can just pray to god, that favourism won't happen in large scale, and common people like us will get chance to pass the exam..

    Best of luck to all..

And who ever agree with my opinion just post one comment in support of this.

  • Thank u for the useful tips :-).
    @Sudhakar ji,
the test is of 3 1/2 hours out of which the objective part is of 150 minutes or u can say 2 1/2 hours and the descriptive part is of 1 hour.
