The UPSC has announced recruitment of Enforcement officers/ Accounts officers in Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).It is a board constituted to administer the employees provident fund pension scheme & an insurance scheme for the employees in india`s organized sector.Because of this, EPFO is among the world`s largest organization.

As EPFO comes under the direct control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, UPSC is inviting applications to fill these vacancies.

Post, Vacancies & Salary

Enforcement (accounts) officer – 257 vacancies – salary of Rs.37,500 /month

 

These officers are paid in the payband of Rs.9300 – 34800 plus a grade pay of Rs.4600.So the total monthly remuneration is around Rs.37,500 excluding allowances.

 

Job profile: Since huge volumes of financial transactions are processed by EPFO, the duties & responsibilities of an enforcement / accounts officer would be:

  • To look after the general administrative work of enforcement, recovery, accounts, administration cash, legal pension and computer sections.
  • Conduct regular inquiries of accounts and settlement of claims
  • Maintaining cash book,bank statement verification, MIS returns etc.,

It is completely an office oriented job with internal growth opportunities through promotions.

Who are Eligible?

To apply for UPSC EPFO enforcement officer recruitment 2016, you need to satisfy the following conditions,

 

Age limit: Maximum of upto 30 years as on June 24, 2016 (OBC: 33yrs & SC/ST: 35yrs)

 

Educational qualification: Degree in any subject, as on 24.06.2016

 

Although 2 yrs experience in administration/ accounts field in any govt or private organization is desired, it is NOT compulsory.

Selection Process:

UPSC on behalf of the organization will conduct a recruitment test (RT), the dates of which would be informed later.

It is NOT an online test & hence candidates would be provided with coding sheets to answer the objective type questions.

The syllabus for this written test is also clearly specified, which is similar to any other central govt exam.

 

 

While the test shall be held for 2 hours, there will be negative mark of 0.33 for each wrong answer.

The EPFO accounts officer exam syllabus is similar to SSC CGL & UPSC civil service (IAS/ IPS) examinations.Though there are many topics to cover, the level of questions would be of moderate level only.

Based on your marks in written test, candidates would be shortlisted for interviews.

 

Registration Steps

Candidates who are willing to apply should fill the online application form before June 23 available on the website: upsconline.nic.in

 

After the submission process is complete, you are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25 as application fees

  • in any branch of the SBI by cash OR
  • by using net banking facility of the SBI OR
  • by using visa/master credit/debit card.

There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PH/ All women candidates.Even males from SC/ST category are exempted from fee payment.
