What is the age limit for posts advertised in the FCI recruitment?
Candidates applying for Junior engineer (J.E) must not be above 28 yrs & if you are registering for Assistant Grade III, 27 yrs is the max. age.
Note: Your age should be calculated as on 1/1/2015
Even if you are 1 day above the specified limit, you are not eligible.
Is there any age relaxation?
OBC: +3 yrs , SC/ST: 5 yrs, PWD: 10yrs , Ex-Servicemen: as per service period
Widows, Divorced women: 35yrs (Gen), 38 (OBC) & 40 (SC/ST)
Are BE graduates/ diploma holders eligible to apply?
Yes. The Junior Engineer post is specifically created for engineering graduates. If you have completed degree in civil engg. OR electrical engg. OR mechanical engg., then you are eligible for J.E
Who can apply for AG-III General & Depot?
Those who have completed graduation in any degree & posses computer knowledge could apply for general or depot.
I have completed MBA (finance).Can I apply for AG-III (accounts)?
No. The FCI notification clearly asks only those with ‘Bcom’ degree to apply.So MBA finance are not eligible. If you had done B.Com in UG, then you are eligible.
Are final year students eligible for this recruitment?
No. Candidates should be a graduate & posses the necessary qualifications as on Jan 1, 2015.So final year/ semester students are not eligible.
I am currently residing in Delhi (North zone).Can I apply for South zone?
Yes.You are free to apply for any zone, since there is no domicile requirement.But you may apply for any 1 zone & 1 post only.
Who are not required to pay the application fees?
SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen & Female candidates are exempted (need not) remit the fees.But candidates in these categories should upload the specified document/ certificate as proof.
What books can I buy for this FCI recruitment?

What methods are available for remitting the application fees?
The application fees of Rs.350 should be paid only by General & OBC candidates through:
- Online: After filling the Part I registration, you will move to the page having payment options such as debit/ credit card/ net banking etc.,
- Bank e-challan (Rs.60 extra): Those who wish to deposit the fee amount may choose e-challan option, print the two challans & visit any SBI branch to make the payment on or before March 18, 2015.
Once the payment process is completed, candidates shall receive their registration no. via email/SMS that can used along with your date of birth to print the completed registration form.
Where do I get the certificate formats for age relaxation?
All the necessary formats for SC/ST, OBC, Exservicemen, PWD are given as annexure from page no.21 – 24 in FCI recruitment notification itself.
