But, How Banks Recruit?
Having looked at the above numbers, a question that will arise among newbies is – How can I apply for these bank jobs?
IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is responsible for conducting common examinations & interview for different positions in all government banks. These exams are conducted once a year as per the IBPS bank exam calendar.
Candidates who posses the eligibility for IBPS bank exams can apply and qualify in the selection process with necessary cutoffs, who are then allotted to banks based on their scores.
State Bank of India does not participate in IBPS common recruitment process. They issue separate notifications and select candidates based on scores in those exams.
How many bank jobs in 2020?
Will there be same number of bank vacancies in 2020? How many banks will issue recruitment notifications for upcoming year, would be the questions that will arise in your mind now.
Following the merger of 10 public banks, there are only 12 govt owned banks, which was 18 in 2019 and 27 in the year 2017.So this shakeup in banking sector may have an effect on the vacancies in 2020.
