I want home state posting.Which bank to choose?
Home state/ city postings are not guaranteed for PO (officer) jobs in banks.
IBPS has clearly stated that candidates should be willing to work anywhere in India as PO position is an all india cadre & can be posted/ transferred as decided by the bank.
So, dont expect to get posting within your home state.
Is there state-wise cutoffs in IBPS PO 2017 exams?
There are no state wise cutoffs.
There are no vacancies in few banks. Will they announce later?
So out of the 20 participating banks, only 9 banks have notified 3562 vacancies, this year.
7 banks have reported NIL vacancies. They are: Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank.
4 banks have not communicated their vacancies to IBPS.They are: Dena bank, Indian bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Punjab National Bank. These banks may announce vacancies at a later state, which would also be announced, only in the month of March 2018.
All banks that have not reported vacancy positions, this year are struggling with abundant NPAs and it is the reason behind them to stop from recruiting any new employees, this season.
IBPS on the other hand has kept option open by saying the vacancy list is only temporary & will be updated incase banks create new posts in future.
