IBPS Bank PO, Clerk & SO Final Allotment Results Postponed due to Covid19

The IBPS results of PO, Clerk and Specialist officer recruitment 2020 is postponed, as per a latest notification released by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). While there is no information on the new dates, candidates are told to visit the official website, ibps.in for regular updates.

To contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic, India is under lockdown restrictions since March 25, 2020.Because of this situation, the results of many competitive examinations have been deferred indefinitely.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances, i.e., COVID-19 pandemic, the declaration of results of provisional allotment for CRP-PO/MT-IX, CRP –CLERKS -IX and CRP -SPL -IX stands postponed until further orders,” says the statement of IBPS.

Based on the written examination & interviews, IBPS should have released the final list of candidates allotted to various public sector banks in the month of April 2020.But with the sudden spread of covid-19, leading to a total lockdown, dates are postponed now, which could change the IBPS bank exam calendar.

How many vacancies are to be filled?

A total of 4336 PO vacancies, 12075 clerk vacancies and 1163 specialist officer (SO) vacancies were advertised, as part of IBPS PO IX – 2019,IBPS clerks IX- 2019 and IBPS SO/ Spl IX – 2019 exams respectively.

What are the new dates for IBPS final results of IBPS PO IX, Clerks IX and Spl IX?

India will be under lockdown till May 3.Therefore any announcement of revised dates could be expected only after May 3, 2020.Incase, the restrictions are extended, there is a high chance for the IBPS results also to get delayed further.

IBPS has also postponed the declaration of final allotment under reserve lists of PO/MT -VIII, Clerks -VIII and Specialist officers-VIII recruitment that were held in the year 2019.An official release in this regard, was also published by the institute, last month.
