IBPS PO CWE 2013 in October; Read about New Rules!!

Next Exam in October

Few years ago, recruitments were handled by banks individually based on their requirements.

To fasten hiring activities in public banks, Indian govt. decided to bring in separate common written examinations for PO, clerks & specialist officers in the year 2011 which are now conducted once a year

Since then, IBPS is responsible for conducting CWE, interviews & allotting qualified candidates to one of the 19 participating banks.(State bank of India & its associates are not part of this group)

What Are The New Rules?

There are eligibility conditions for any exam or job which the applicants must fulfill inorder to submit their applications.Any change in those conditions is bound to affect the aspirants both positively & negatively.

IBPS PO 2013 common exam notification is to come out with changes proposed by the Government of India.In October 2012 the ministry of finance had sent letters to IBPS & public banks detailing the new rules 

Some of the important points in that communication were:

  • Agelimit: 20 – 30years (PO & Clerk) for general category
  • Education: Pass in degree

These conditions were recently amended for IBPS PO CWE 2013 because of the mass agitation by student bodies across India.

How Many Vacancies?  

Two common exams for PO/MT posts have taken place so far on September 2011 & March 2012.

The no. of positions created by banks for passouts over the past two years averages around 20,000. 

For the year 2013-14 around 21,000 – 24,000 bank jobs could be on offer for IBPS PO Exam 2013 qualifiers looking at previous recruitment trends.
