Its once again time for joining as Punjab & Sind bank released results for their clerk recruitment.This is in relation to 800 vacancies announced by the bank few months ago.With back to back results, the issue of multiple selections seem to crop up again.
Though waitlists are possible, it remains uncertain whether a specific bank shall exercise it & those in mid-low score range do not have any other chance apart from pinning hopes on it.
About Punjab & Sind Bank, the advertisement to fill 800 clerk posts was out in the month of April.This was followed by personal interviews that happened in July end.
773 set to join
The total number of clerk positions made available for IBPS clerical common exam scorecard holders was 800.Since no minimum TWS scores were specified, all passouts were eligible.
Finally, 773 candidates are found eligible for appointment as clerk & their names, state applied for & roll no., are published, which can be had from the official site here (.pdf file)
For the interviews held from July 23 – 31, PSB had shortlisted applicants by fixing cutoff scores based on TWS scores (state-wise)
Letters of appointment are being sent through speed post to the address mentioned in application of the registrant, confirms the bank statement.
The process:
Personal interview (PI) was held for a total of 100 marks & it is necessary of each applicant to secure atleast 45% (35% for reserved category) to qualify for final selection.
The merit list for appointment is prepared by giving weightage of 85% & 15% to IBPS CWE & interview marks respectively.Candidates are then ranked statewise & category-after which the final selection list is released.
Waiting for common interviews
Ever since the news of Govt. planning common interviews for bank jobs came up, there is a section of people waiting for it to be implemented.
They are none other than candidates who feel left behind due to high scorers occupying most PO & clerk seats are expecting.
As no official announcement on this matter has been issued till now, the wait continues..
