The RBI Grade B Notification 2017 for 161 vacant positions was released in the month of July.They had proposed to conduct two stages of online test – Phase I & II to shortlist candidates for final selection.
The RBI Grade B phase I exams for recruitment of Officers in Grade ‘B’ (general), for officers in grade ‘B’ for Department of Economics and Policy Research (DEPR) and for officers in grade ‘B’ for Department of Information and Statistics (DSIM) were held on June 17, 2017 at various centres across India.
It was like any other bank exam of 120 minutes with the paper consisting of sections (i) General Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv)Reasoning.
Within a week`s time, the bank has declared the results by publishing a list of approximately 3500 candidates who have successfully cleared the phase I test.

Marks & Cutoffs: The objective exam was for a total of 200 marks.Inorder to get selected for Phase – II, you should have secured the minimum cutoff in each test & also on the total score.
Both successful & unsuccessful candidates can know their marks & category-wise phase I cutoffs once its released on RBI website in the next 2 weeks.
The RBI Grade B Phase II exams are scheduled to happen on July 6 & 7, 2017.It is an online test for 300 marks & has 3 different sections.

Since the English paper is to test your descriptive (long format) writing skills, answers must be typed using the keyboard in the computer itself.
