The total starting emoluments at a metro city like Mumbai will be around Rs.23,600 per month which could vary slightly based on place of posting.

Online application process – January 20 to February 10, 2018 (last date extended)
Preliminary Exam: March/ April 2018 | Main exam on May 12, 2018
– Age: 20 – 28 years, as on January 1, 2018 [+3 yrs for OBC, +5 yrs for SC/ST]
– Must have passed in any degree, as on June 30, 2016
– Local language proficiency (able to read, write & speak) of the state you are applying is required.
Final year students are also eligible to apply for this SBI clerk (junior associates) 2018 recruitment but should be able to produce proof of passing the degree exam on or before 1.1.2018, if called for interview.
Local language test: Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate to show that they had studied the official language need not appear for language test.
For all others, language test will be conducted at the time of interview or before final selection (if interview is not held)
State Bank of India will conduct the selection process for Junior Associate in 3 phases.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination for 100 marks shall be conducted in the month of May. It would contain 3 sections.
You need not secure minimum cutoffs in each section and on total score, inorder to qualify for mains.But, for each wrong answer, negative mark of 0.25 will be reduced.
The top scores in each category (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies) would be shortlisted, for mains examination, based on their total scores.
Phase II: Main Exams would be conducted for candidates who qualify in prelims.It will be for 200 marks.
There are no individual cutoffs for each paper in SBI clerk mains 2018.
Instead, there will be a minimum qualying mark on the total scores, which will be made use to shortlist candidates for final merit list.
Final Selection: Candidates who are chosen for appointment through the merit list need to satisfy the following conditions:
– Must submit necessary proofs and documents for verification of eligibility (age, education etc.,)
– Should qualify in the test of local language (candidates who are non-proficient in local language would be disqualified.
