Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) – General, Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream, Engineering Stream, Research Stream and Official Language Stream 2020.

SEBI recruitment 2020: Eligibility conditions
Age: The applicant`s age should not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on February 29, 2020 (i.e., you must have been born on or after March 01, 1990). Age relaxation of upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ ST applies.
Educational qualification:
- General: Master’s Degree in any discipline, Bachelors’ Degree in Law, Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, CA / CFA / CS / Cost Accountant
- Legal: Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- IT: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics And Communication / Information Technology / Computer Science OR Masters in Computers Application OR Post graduate in Computers / Information Technology
- Engineering: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
- Research: Master’s Degree in Statistics / Economics / Commerce / Business Administration (Finance) / Econometrics
- Official Language: Master’s Degree in Hindi with English or Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / English / Economics / Commerce with Hindi as a subject
Candidates can apply for maximum of 2 posts, provided they fulfill the necessary eligibility criteria. You need to submit separate online application for each post and pay the required fees for each application.
Those who have appeared for final year exams and waiting for results may also apply for this SEBI grade A officers recruitment 2020, provided they must produce the necessary documents of degree, at the time of joining.
Selection process: The mode of selection for recruitment of grade A officers in SEBI will involve a three stage process.
- Phase I (online screening examination consisting of 2 papers of 100 marks each)
- Phase II (online examination consisting of 2 papers of 100 marks each)
- Phase III (Interview).
To qualify for phase II, candidates have to score minimum cutoff of 30% in paper I and minimum 40% in paper II in phase I examination. There are no sectional cutoffs in phase I.
To qualify for phase III, candidates need to secure minimum cutoff of 30% in paper I and minimum 40% in paper II in phase II exam, apart from scoring separate cutoffs in each paper.
There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer in phase I and II exams.
Fees & Application: Those interested to apply for the SEBI officers recruitment must pay Rs.1000 (general/ OBC) or Rs.100 (SC/ST) as application fee only through online mode, before May 31, 2020.
