Qualifying in SSC CGL exam is compulsory to get appointed in group B or C cadre posts in Govt of India`s ministries/ departments such as Income Tax, Ministry of External Affairs, CBI etc.,So a large number of graduates sit for this recruitment test, every year that usually has approx 10 – 12,000 vacancies.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had for the first time conducted their CGL (combined graduate level) examination through online mode from August 27 to November 11, 2016.
A total of 14.99 lakh candidates appeared for the Tier I test from 38.04 lakh people who had submitted their applications.Because of this enormous number,the CGL exam was held in 43 batches at 415 locations across 96 cities throughout India.
Re-Exam Proposed: Citing ‘administrative reasons’ SSC has decided to hold a re-examination for all those who took part in 2nd shift (batch-II) conducted at 4.15 PM – 5.30 PM on 27.08.2016.
The re-exam for these candidates only shall happen on October 27th & further details would be informed on SSC website in the coming days.
Few weeks back, we had reported about RTI reply given by SSC regarding tier I answer key/ result dates.Now, the commission has revealed the exact dates for us to look forward.
