Mostly, it would involve office/ record maintenance, carry letters or files to respective section/ office, perform non-clerical work such as taking sending faxes, taking photocopies etc.,

Who are Eligible?

To apply for SSC MTS 2022 exam, you need to satisfy the following conditions,

  • Agelimit: 18 – 25 years as on January 1, 2022 (OBC: +3 yrs, SC/ST: +5 yrs)
  • Should have passed matriculation (std.12th) as on 30.04.2022

Since the minimum educational qualification is set as pass in std.XII, candidates who have completed degree are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process

While all eligible applicants must appear for an online written exam, that will consist of two papers – Paper I (objective type) & Paper II (descriptive type).

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Also, SSC may fix separate cutoff marks for each section that will be decided by them after the test. Only those who qualify in paper I by scoring the necessary cutoffs would be invited to appear for paper II.

MTS: The selection process for the post of MTS will consist of Paper I, Paper II and Document verification.

Havaldar: The selection process for the post of Havaldar will consist of Paper-I, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST), Paper-II (Descriptive) and Document Verification.

Since there are no interviews, candidates for each state are purely selected based on their performance in Paper-  I, provided they qualify in Paper-II as well.

Registration Steps

The application fee of Rs.100 must be paid through online mode only before May 2, 2022.You may also generate a fee payment challan in the application & pay in cash at any SBI branches. All female candidates & all males/ females belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen category are not required to pay the application fees.
