Will banks announce waiting list could be the top question for many bank job aspirants.Their concern only started to grow as same candidates started attending interviews of many banks.United bank of India as part of PO recruitment has declared their 2nd list, which will bring hope to others.
The advertisement to fill 450 PO vacancies in United bank of India was given in February /March this year.
Based on the applications received,
- 2121 registrants were shortlisted for Interviews that were held in the month of April
- Final results of united bank of india were published in May that saw 450 being selected for appointment as PO
They were advised to report for joining on June 20.After 2 weeks, another list is made public.
350 in 2nd List:
United bank today released a document containing names of 358 candidates that form the 2nd list.
Get to know their names, roll.no., category etc from the official website here
It is possible for the previously selected candidates to have not reported for duty on specified date.This should have pushed the bank to choose the above from a waiting list.
Joining:
The new reporting date for candidates in 2nd list could be during the 4th week of July.
Since exact dates are not provided, keep a regular watch on their website for further announcements.
Time for waiting lists?
Its a known fact that high scorers with IBPS TWS score of 165 have been selected for probationary officer post in 2-6 banks.Candidates continue to question this method of selection.
Some months ago, IBPS & bank HR heads during a meeting discussed many proposals.One of them was to limit the joining time & call people from waiting list if a person does not turn up.
Indian bank has already started the process for 2nd phase of interviews who applied for their 452 PO recruitment.
No formal announcement was made, but registrants claim to have received intimation emails/sms from the bank asking them to download interview call letters from website.
Earlier, there were reports of Union bank of India & Corporation bank calling some from waiting lists.
