The UPSC CAPF 2017 exam for the post of Assistant Commandant (AC) has been announced by Union Public Service Commission.The CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) examination is held for vacancies that exist in the forces such as Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

There are a total of 179 vacancies of Assistant Commandants positions in the following depts:
Border Security Force (BSF): 28
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 65
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 23
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 63

Who are Eligible?
If you wish to apply for UPSC CAPF 2017 exam, here are the elgiibility conditions that you need to fulfil:
Age: Candidate should be 20 – 25 yrs, as on August 1, 2017 (max age relaxed by 3 yrs for OBC, 5 yrs for SC/ST)
Education: Should be a graduate
The candidates would be selected on the basis of a written examination, physical and medical standards tests, physical efficiency test (PET) and interview/ personality test.
How to Register
General/ OBC candidates (males) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200 either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI on or before May 5, 2017
Female /SC/ ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
